The illusion that we drink our own water, eat our own food, breathe our own air comes from a focus on our personal identity.

If we reverse that perspective, then we share all water, share all food, and share the air we breathe.

We are more connected than we realize.

When something is out of sight, beyond our awareness, we continue living as if it has no influence on us, and we have no influence on it.

While it is not possible to be aware of all things, we can maintain connections between ourselves and other people, issues, conditions, and environments.

If we can see ourselves as part of those things, we are more likely to be mindful of the part we play on the larger stage.

To demonstrate a visual interpretation of this mindfulness, I have constructed a virtual experience.

You are alone in a park.

There is a  white target at your feet that will take you to other places.

You can click and drag on the screen to look around these places.

Find people with a white target and click on it to bring them back with you to the park.

At the end of your adventure, you will be together in the park with the people you met, no longer alone.

CLICK and DRAG the image to look down at your feet.

CLICK on the TARGET to travel and begin your journey.
